Download audio (MP3)

All children should be screened for autism by age two, according to a report released at the American Academy of Pediatrics conference in San Francisco yesterday. Though there is no cure for the disorder, some experts believe that early diagnosis and therapy may diminish its severity.

Host: Michael Krasny

Guests:

  • Dr. Bryna Siegel, professor of psychiatry at UCSF
  • Steve Silberman, writer and long-time contributor to Wired Magazine currently researching material for a book on autism.
