Forum examines the art of adaptation. What are the challenges of taking a story from one medium to another, and what counts as a successful adaptation?

  • Caroline Thompson, screenwriter and author of the original screenplay for "Edward Scissorhands," co-adaptor for the Orpheum's current musical version, which runs through Dec 10
  • KT Nelson, co-artistic director of ODC/Dance and choreographer of the full-length ballet "The Velveteen Rabbit," which is now in its 20th year at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco (runs through Dec 10)
