On Friday, a judge will decide the sentence for former BART police officer Johannes Mehserle. Mehserle was convicted of involuntary manslaughter in July for the shooting death of an unarmed passenger, Oscar Grant, in Oakland. We review the case against Mehserle, and discuss the judge's sentencing options.

Host: Scott Shafer

Guests:

  • Cephus Johnson, Oscar Grant's uncle
  • Laurie Levenson, law professor at Loyola Law School in Los Angeles
  • Paul Rosynsky, reporter for the Oakland Tribune
