Don't Let the Bed Bugs Bite

Download audio (MP3)

Bed bug infestations are on the rise in California and nationwide. These annoying insects hide when you're awake, attack at night, and can take months of hard work, pest specialists and a lot of money to get rid of. We discuss how to deal with bedbugs, and how to avoid giving them a free ride into your home. Also, what rights do tenants or hotel guests have if the bed bugs bite?

Host: Dave Iverson

Guests:

  • Christian Hardigree, department chair for hotel management at Herra Hotel College at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and an attorney specializing in bed bug litigation
  • Gail Getty, entomologist at UC Berkeley's Urban Pest Management Center
