Supreme Court: No Aid to Terrorist Groups

Download audio (MP3)

A Supreme Court decision this week upheld a law that makes it a crime for U.S. citizens to provide "material support," which includes offering advice or training, to terrorist groups. We discuss the ruling, and hear from a California professor who took part in challenging the law on free speech grounds.

Host: Michael Krasny

Guests:

  • John Eastman, chair in law at the Chapman University School of Law and founding director of the Center for Constitutional Jurisprudence
  • Ralph Fertig, professor at USC's School of Social Work and president of the Humanitarian Law Project, which challenged a statute in the USA PATRIOT Act
  • Rory Little, professor of law at UC Hastings College of the Law
