Snitching

Download audio (MP3)

Law professor Alexandra Natapoff argues that America's criminal justice system relies too much on the often-false testimony of criminal informants who cut deals in exchange for information. She says the overuse of these so-called snitches by prosecutors and police is one of the reasons many people in urban areas refuse to cooperate in police investigations. We talk with Natapoff about her book, "Snitching: Criminal Informants and the Erosion of American Justice."

Host: Michael Krasny

Guests:

  • Alexandra Natapoff, professor of law at Loyola Law School, Los Angeles and author of "Snitching"
