Volunteer

Volunteering is a wonderful way to support your community and have fun doing it! Volunteers support KQED in many ways, from welcoming guests at KQED Live events to answering phones and taking donations during fundraising drives.

Why Volunteer with KQED?

Our team of KQED volunteers contributed over 2700 hours in the past year assisting with events, pledge drives, membership activities and offsite activities. Our community of volunteers support our mission of informing, involving and inspiring others by all they do. In addition, volunteers also benefit by developing a new skill set, making new connections and friendships, giving back to their community and engaging others in the process. Our 600+ volunteers ages 17- 90 have found the experience to be rewarding personally, enriching their lives in ways they had never imagined.

Become a Volunteer

All volunteers must be 17 years of age or older and fully vaccinated.

While most volunteer assignments take place at KQED headquarters, 2601 Mariposa St. in San Francisco, some are held off site at beautiful locations like the Japanese Tea Garden and Filoli Historic House & Garden.
