We provide access to award-winning journalism, entertainment and educational resources without a paywall. Individual KQED supporters help enrich lives, inspire minds and celebrate our communities’ diverse perspectives by coming together to generously donate more than half of KQED’s annual budget.

How long does it take for my pledge or payment to be processed and updated in my account?

Thank you for your patience, and for your support of KQED.
What’s the difference between one-time and sustaining donations?
A sustaining gift is an ongoing donation at a fixed amount chosen by the donor. Sustaining gifts can charge automatically every month or once a year and will automatically renew your membership. They continue charging on your set schedule until you let us know you’d like to change or stop the gift.
A one-time donation is charged when you send in a check or give online and never again. When you make a one-time donation, we’ll ask you to renew your membership a year later.
We sincerely appreciate any donation and encourage you to choose the option that works best for you.
What happens to my membership level and/or renewal date when I give an additional gift after I’ve already renewed my membership?
When you give an additional gift it absolutely makes our day! If your renewal gift and the additional gift add up to bring you to a new membership level, you will start receiving benefits at that new level immediately. If you donate within two months of your membership expiration date, your membership will renew early and you will get twelve months of membership from the date of your new donation. If you’d like to be sure it’s counted as an additional gift and not as your renewal, please contact Member Services.
How do I change my payment type or update my payment information?
