How Legacy Gifts Help KQED
Under the long-standing policy of our Board of Directors, KQED directs all revenue from legacy gifts into our Board Designated Endowment unless donors expressly state otherwise. The Endowment provides sustainable revenue to support KQED from year-to-year. Revenue generated from the endowment means that KQED begins every fiscal year with operating funds already in hand. Payout from the Endowment supports KQED’s programs and operations.
Legacy Giving Options

A Message from Mark Jones, J.D.

KQED’s supporters turn to us for content that invites them to experience the worlds of public affairs, nature, science, and food; to hear diverse viewpoints; and to take a front-row seat for world-class drama and performances. By setting up a legacy gift, which goes into our endowment unless you direct otherwise, you will partner with KQED in enriching our community in these and other ways for generations to come.
Our seasoned team is here for you and your advisors. We welcome the opportunity to talk with you, show you around our studios, and introduce you to some of our outstanding journalists and producers.
