Retired Site: Bay Window

The "Bay Window" site has been retired from

Launched in 1998 and running through 2004, Bay Window was an Emmy Award-winning, monthly documentary series exploring issues that affect lives in the Bay Area and reflect civic life nationwide. Through television, print, the Web and both community and school-based outreach programs, Bay Window was conceived to engage people in dialogue, convene critical stakeholders and build new connections within our communities. As an ongoing series, Bay Window engaged members of the community in a sustained dialogue and sought to inspire viewers to become more informed and involved in issues that affect them. Bay Window aired the first Friday of the month on KQED Public Television 9.

Bay Window also featured an engaging, interactive Web site. Visitors to the site could participate in Web chats, access community resources and obtain more detailed information on the programs' subject matter.

Bay Window was underwritten by the Wallace Alexander Gerbode Foundation.
