Percy starts to raise his voice and race down the line just like Gordon. Percy is trying so hard to be like Gordon that he forgets to deliver his mail. Percy realizes that being like Gordon hasn't helped him at all and he is happy just being Percy! Victor Says Yes - Victor is an engine who likes to please everyone so when it's a busy day at the Steam Works, he bites off more than he can chew. The engines line up outside the Steam Works and ask Victor to fix them. Emily, 'Arry and Bert all become impatient as the line of engines waiting to be fixed gets longer and longer. Then Sir Topham Hatt arrives and asks Victor to fix Gordon, and of course Victor says yes. The line gets longer and the engines start to bump into each other. With Thomas' help, Victor realizes that he needs to learn to say no. Victor tells some of the engines that he can fix them the next day. Luckily Cat's friend Dr. Twiggles can help them! Off to the Woody Wood Woods to see him. There, Dr. Twiggles shows them how to make new paper out of old paper - recycling! They watch how the old paper is shredded, then water and cleaner are added to make it into a thick, soupy mess! Then they put it through rollers that flatten it into large sheets of paper! Now Nick and Sally can make their airplanes, and the best part, they used recycled paper! A Polar Adventure - Nick and Sally have lost Teddy outside, they need to find him, bears don't like the snow! Well some bears do, proclaims the Cat. In Freeze-Your-Knees-Snowland, Cat's friend Polly the polar bear loves the snow! They meet Polly and her two bear cubs and learn how their thick fur keeps them warm and how their long claws keep them from slipping on the ice. When a storm blows in, Polly keeps everyone warm in her den. Polar bears really do like the cold! While Celery takes Jet, Sean, and Sydney out to space to get a close-up look at the comet, Carrot and Mindy decide to surprise the others and make their very own comet in the backyard using ingredients from home! Curriculum: A comet is an icy body that releases gas or dust. Comets are often compared to dirty snowballs. Occasionally a comet streaks through the inner solar system, creating quite a show!
    * Asteroid Patrol - When Sean learns that asteroids are floating around the solar system (potentially), he decides to set up a homemade asteroid watch-station in the treehouse, and gets all the other kids involved. Eventually, Sean's mother and her colleague at the DSA help Sean and the others understand how scientists monitor the skies for asteroids, a job that Sean doesn't need to do all by himself. Curriculum: Asteroids are mostly found in the Asteroid Belt. Occasionally an asteroid can break away from the gravity of the Asteroid Belt and intersect with the orbit of the Earth. When a small asteroid enters the Earth's atmosphere, it becomes a meteor and burns up.

But can he build a pump to get the water from the ground into his fifth floor bathtub?

      *UPDATE: The tower crew will work the Fremont peak tower as of 11am, Thursday, Nov 30th. We will need to lower power on KQET, Channel 25, to 25% at 10:30am through 4-5pm. Thank you for your patience!

    • Scheduled Maintenance 8/21-8/25

      Next week, Sutro Tower will be switching most stations to their auxiliary antennas. KQED TV will be at half power on the lower auxiliary antenna, this will affect some of our Over The Air viewers. Maintenance is scheduled on August 21-25 from 9am through 4pm daily.     • 2/22/17: Fremont Peak tower transmissions, including KQET DT25

      (DT25.1 through 25.3) Recent storms have taken out dozens of trees on Fremont Peak, which in turn have taken down power lines leading to the transmission tower located on the peak.
