MN ORIGINAL (MNO) is Twin Cities public television's award-winning weekly arts series celebrating Minnesota's creative community, across all disciplines and all cuLtures. MN ORIGINAL increases awareness of Minnesota artists, art organizations and arts venues, inspires viewers to think about the arts and artists in new ways and cultivates new audiences by promoting a deeper understanding of the creative process and curating contemporary arts in Minnesota for generations to come. The music featured throughout the series is created by and credited to Minnesota musicians. Nearly 400 songs by more than 250 artists in about 100 bands or ensembles are included in the music library.

Fascinated by science, Eric William Carroll tests the limits and boundaries of photography, creating work without the use of a camera. Vocalist and songwriter Aby Wolf and her band perform an acoustic version of Alone. New York Times best-selling author/illustrator Michael Hall's work is known for its bright, expressive imagery and clever word play. The Hmong Breakers Leadership Council is focused on bringing diverse communities together through the art of break dancing.

Painter Eddie Hamilton's "Shadows Project" brings awareness to the challenges disabled people face when interacting with their communities. Folk record label Red House Records has been representing local and national artists since the early 1980s.

Actress and playwright Sun Mee Chomet searches for her identity both onstage and off. Kurt Seaberg depicts the indigenous Sami people of Northern Europe in his intricate drawings. The Walker Art Center's 2013 Artist-Designed Mini Golf commemorated the 25th Anniversary of the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden. Instrumental alchemist Paul Metzger improvises hauntingly beautiful music on his modified 23-string banjo.
