Cafe, The
Set in a small seaside town, The Cafe is homely, comfortable and welcoming. Middle-aged divorcee Carol owns the place. Mary, in her seventies is Carol's mum. She is very broad minded and a real character. Completing the trio is daughter Sarah. Having lost her job and been dumped by her boyfriend, she's had to move back home from London, where a host of old school friends await. Until she gets her life back on track she's helping out in the welcoming cafe that's a bit like Friends' Central Perk - but not quite as trendy! Each heart-warming episode sees all sorts of colourful characters pop in and out of the cafe.

Stags Or Hens (Episode #112H)
KQED Plus: Fri, Sep 5, 2014 -- 11:30 PM
It's the night before the wedding and, in traditional fashion, Ava and Richard are having their hen and stag do's. Ava is at the Cafe with the ladies and Kieran playing drinking games, while Sarah, Richard and his very boring friend Dave, are playing a drunken game of hide and seek on the beach. as Sarah and Richard hide from Dave they are left alone to reminisce about their past. Is it rose tinted spectacles, or is there really still something left unresolved between them? What about Ava? What about Jason? What about tomorrow? Getting drunk seems to be the only way for Sarah to cope, but being drunk it would probably be advisable not to choose this moment to talk to Ava. And particularly advisable not to make the bride cry the night before her wedding.
