Highlights from The National Civil Rights Museum's Freedom Award ceremony held in Memphis, Tennessee on December 2, 2014. This year's honorees are Charlayne Hunter-Gault, highly acclaimed global civil rights journalist; Tom Brokaw, long-time NBC News anchor; Robert Moses, award-winning educator and civil rights movement organizer; and Frank Robinson, trailblazing professional baseball player and manager. A special award is also presented to Beverly Robertson, who is stepping down as President of the National Civil Rights Museum after 17 years. The Master of Ceremony is Michael Eric Dyson.
