YMC Megan

My name is Megan Seely, and I am an 18 year old girl from San Francisco (originally from Texas, go Longhorns! Yes, I'm proud of my Texan roots). I am known by my peers as an optimistic, humorous and social person. Because of my interest in people and current events, I aspire to be a broadcast journalist. Thus, to reach my goal, I plan to major in communications/journalism at the University of Southern California.

Every important lesson in life, I learned from my dogs: be compassionate, persistent, never lack in sleep, and food is always the answer to every problem.

At school, I focus my time in the classes that involve communicating, such as english and journalism. I am on the newspaper staff, and hope to write for USC's daily paper. On my free time, I love to go to the beach with my dogs, try new restaurants, go night-clubbing, sing karaoke and have themed parties (the best have been toga and luau parties). What I love to do most, however, is travel, and depending on the location, my favorite hobby is scuba diving.

My favorite movie (and screenplay) is Quentin Tarantino's infamous Pulp Fiction; my favorite book is To Kill a Mockingbird; my favorite city is Paris; my all-time-favorite musician is Madonna, and my lethal addiction is chocolate.

As other leaders have inspired me, I hope to be a "hero" to someone through friendship, guidance and support.

Learn more about my hero, Mervyn Wool.
