YMC Christina
KQED.org > Youth Media Corps Spring 2003

Hello, my name is Christina Lopez and I'm a 17 year old girl in the 11th grade, class of 2004. I was born in San Francisco in 1985.

The first thing I would like everyone to know is that weird and dorky are words that describe me. Well, that is what my friends call me in a kind way, not in a mean way like many people think.

The things that are important to me are my friends, family, love, respect, self esteem, and life. Oh yeah, and the environment too.

What also is important to me is my future, school and happiness. I'm remarkable because I'm special, sweet, nice, smart and kind.

The most influential time of my life was when I entered high school because I learned and discovered many new things about life, the world, and myself.

I love everyone around me, even the people I just met, because I care about everyone and listen to my heart.

My family is the best because they are always there for me, and I am always there for them. My friends are good people, and I enjoy hanging around with them everyday.

I like cookies, candy, salads and all kinds of healthy food.

I can't wait to grow up and face the world, and all the challenges that will come with it.

Coming to the Intel Computer Club House for the Youth Media Corps has been a really good experience for me because I love working with computers and video cameras, and meeting new people.

Learn more about my hero, Sarah Benjamin.
