My name is Charles Suh. I'm just your average 15-year-old
kid, I guess. I was born in Flushing, New York in the year of
1987. I moved from New York to San Francisco in 2001. I am currently
attending Abraham Lincoln High School.
I'm interested in computers (and related stuff). You'll usually see me
surfing Slashdot, Neowin, Winbeta, and sites like that, so you can guess what
kind of stuff I like.
I'm also a sort-of environmentalist. School, grades, and being
nice and considerate to other people are things that are really
important to me, too.
I'm not quite sure what I want to be when I grow up, but I kind of really
like the idea of being around computers. Too bad everybody
wants to work in the computer/IT industry these days. :P However,
I'm not sure... maybe I'll become a doctor, a veterinarian, a
designer maybe??
I admire people who aren't selfish and help other people out.
I'm not a big fan of the idea of "heroes;" I think the
term is a really high compliment and overused a LOT in today's
society-- I mean, you just don't save Earth by drilling into asteroids,
or save lives (especially with yours) every day. Plus,
I prefer the term "Samaritan" over "hero."
If you call everybody a hero and your life is saved by someone
who dives in front of a bullet meant for you, can you really say
the word "hero" at that someone's eulogy with meaning?
Just something to think about...
