Sarah Benjamin, she's one in a million! Sarah brings me joy, support, friendship, love, and happy thoughts. Sarah is a very nice person to talk to about anything. I have chosen her to be my hero because she's very supportive, and I look up to her and I admire everything she does. Sarah gives college advice to young girls who have many questions and she spreads her college-focused energy to the young women at GirlSource.

GirlSouce is where Sarah spends most of her time, working with young women in a program called Bound for Success. Bound for Success is basically where young women attend a set of career, college, and life planning services. In this program, there are workshops where young women can go through every step of the college application process, including asking questions such as: What kind of College is Right for Me? How do I get Financial Aid? And How Can I Write a Strong College Essay?

There's also college tours were Sarah and GirlSource take young women to visit a number of local colleges and universities, including: Stanford, Mills, San Francisco State, Hayward State, U.C. Berkeley, U.C. Santa Cruz and more. Sarah even gives free SAT preparation classes at GirlSource were anybody who needs support can come. Sarah spends most of her time helping anyone or anybody who needs it. She's a positive and strong young woman in her early 20s. I considered her a very strong role model to look up to, so that's why I choose her to be my HERO!
