Project Description
|
|
The Youth Media Corps at KQED was established in 1999
with the goal of bringing youth perspectives into mainstream
media. Toward this end, youth are taught media literacy, journalism and
media production, culminating in a media campaign that uses the Web, television
broadcast and public relations.

Mission Statement
|
|
Through this campaign, we hope to show adults how unfair
and untrue most stereotypes of youth are and that these stereotypes
influence the way adults and youth interact. We feature empowered young
people to highlight the many great things youth are doing, especially
to help out their communities and each other.
