Hi
my name is Damon
James Hall.
I am 15 years old. My favorite sports are football and wrestling.
In my spare time of handling those two sports I stay in a park &
rec. basketball league. I also maintain great care of my dog, Silvia.
What I really enjoy is going to a computer game facility to play
a well-known game called Counter-Strike. Always my first pride and
joy is spending time with my beautiful family.

My
name is DeMarcus
Hewitt.
I am 15 years old. My hobbies include playing football, baseball,
and basketball and hanging out with my cousins and friends. Also
I like to listen to music. I listen to many types of music in general
but mainly rap and R&B. I am in a group called the Black Student
Union that is in collaboration with KQED to build a web site and
make a public service announcement. I hope that through the Youth
Media Corps I can help to let the youth of today know more about
important youth issues. I plan to go to college on an academic or
athletic scholarship. I think that I am talented enough to get one
or maybe even both of them. If I can't make it with a career in
sports, I want to get a degree in Business or Engineering so that
I can hopefully have a career in one or both of those fields.

I'm
Jasmine
Kwack.
I am always in love with so many things; God, my family, and my
friends, classical movies, pictures and many other things - so right
now, as senior, I'm having so much trouble with finding my passion.
Having marvelous memories and dearest friends are all I have today
at the age of eighteen, but because of the enormous openness and
sweet expectation of tomorrow, I am a very rich person today.

My
name is Kristina
McQueen, I am 16 years old. My hobbies are drawing,
making jewelry and writing. To make money, I usually baby-sit or
dog sit, so working with KQED and Black Student Union is something
new for me. I like the Youth Media Corps and working together with
people in my age group. We work well in a group. I never thought
I would be paid to give my personal opinions and feelings. What
I hope to get out of this experience is to learn how to work with
media. I'm always looking for new experiences. This is a good program
and I would recommend it to friends and other schoolmates as well
as youth in my community.

Hi!
My name is Lloyd
Ford.
I was born on March 5, 1985. I enjoy all sports, web page building
(www.geocities.com/frisc0player69)
surfing the web at different sites such as msn.com, kickz.com, blackplanet.com
and aim.com. Teens like me are expensive so I needed money that
this project was going to offer. But I had no idea it was going
to be fun.

I
am Torre' Mitchell,
a 14 year-old young African American lady in training to be an African
American woman. I grew up in the streets of San Francisco, and boy
is it rough! I moved to Georgia when I was 10yrs old, but sooner
than later I returned to home sweet home. I graduated from Marina
Middle School, and there is where I set my long and short term goals.
My goals had to do with things that I have done in my life. For
example, I have been modeling for 8 years and have done many fashion
shows. I always go to the modeling conventions and get noticed.
I have already graduated from modeling school and am ready for the
big time. Another thing that I have as a goal is basketball. I am
tall and talented and also very aggressive, which fits the description
of an basketball player. I learned how to play basketball in a 6th
grade in Georgia. I played with the 17yrs old girls when I was only
in the 7th grade that is how good I am, well at least was. Unfortunately
there have not been a lot of opportunities in San Francisco for
basketball. Last but not least, my main goal (which comes naturally)
is to be a lawyer. The reason I say that it comes naturally is because
ever since I was able to talk (before I was 1 year old), I was arguing
- according to my mother and my family, and I testify that it is
true. I always argue with someone and will not stop until I get
my point across, which I am excellent at, even if I am wrong. In
order for me to reach my goals I have to stay with a 3.0 or up G.P.A.
I also I need to do things to get recognized to reach my goals.
To get recognized for modeling, I need to be on t.v., or go to conventions,
for basketball I need to join clubs or play in organizations, and
to be a lawyer I need to join the debate club, join the speech club,
research things for no reason, and stay argumentative. I need to
stay in school until I have my PH.D and am in law school. I also
need to save up my money in preparation for college. KQED will help
me to accomplish my goals by paying me for working so I can save
up for college, and exposing me to the media, the world, and the
public.
