We focused on Bay Area empowered youth making a difference. These teenagers are involved in local community organizations, like YO!(Youth Outlook) and the Sunset Beacon, while others are individuals who devote their time helping, informing, and entertaining other youth through their own peer resource groups.

Jerome Padilla, now featured in an educational spot airing on KQED

Jerome Padillia is 18 years old and lives in Daly City. He spends time playing the viola as well as writing poetry. He is a member of the Media Bomb Crew and works with them to gain youth access to the San Francisco Unified School District radio station 91.7 KALW. Jerome is a graduate of School of the Arts High School, and is moving to Ohio this fall to attend Oberlin College.
