Students interpreted individual segments of a floor-to-ceiling portrait of Nelson Mandela; the pieces were combined to create the complete image of Mandela's face. |

| The Gods and Monsters project involved conceptual approaches, including "pillow-painting." Students explored the idea of violence by using squirt guns to shoot paint at large "target" pillows. |
