Coastal Clash is "going national." Look for it on public television stations nationwide starting in April 2005, just in time for Earth Day (Get Tune-In Info for a station near you). The program will be re-broadcast on KQED Public TV9 April 22 at 9pm. Featuring an Emmy Award-winning score by Chris Shiflett of The Foo Fighters plus rare archival surfing and beach home movies, this one-hour, high-definition documentary takes an in-depth look at the struggle for California's shores -- echoed on coastlines around America -- and asks: "Whose coast is it, anyway?"

KQED has produced a special Coastal Clash DVD, which contains the full program and exceptional bonus features, including: Chris Shifflett's Emmy Award-winning original soundtrack, featuring songs not used in the film; never-before-seen surfing and beach home videos; plus four companion public radio reports that focus on coastal issues. Coastal Clash was hailed as fair and balanced by the media and by folks on both sides of the issues.
