KQED.org
sat down with Bay Area consumers, advocates, family members
and mental health professionals to listen to their personal
accounts with mental illness. These eight individuals agreed
to share their stories, although some requested anonymity to
protect their own or loved one's privacy. All of the individuals
we spoke with have experienced some sort of loss resulting from
mental illness, but they also share stories of survival and
hope. Click on the images above to read more.
