The KQED weekly schedule has been configured to conveniently print on as few pages as possible. However, the final look of your printout can be affected by your printer, printer plug-in, browser or operating system. While it's difficult to cover every scenario in detail, here are a few general tips we hope will help:

1) Locate Your Printer Settings

  • Windows: In your browser, under the "File" menu, select "Page Setup" or "Print Preview." If your browser doesn't provide those options, try selecting "Print" and then explore the dialog box that appears. In either case you may discover additional settings by clicking buttons labeled "Properties" or "Advanced."
  • Mac: Click on the "Print" link or under the "File" menu, select "Print" You should be presented with a dialog box that contains various printer settings. You may have to explore pulldown menus or click on buttons labeled "Properties", "Advanced" or "More" to access all settings.

2) Adjust the Size
If the schedule is printing too large or too small, you can adjust its size. In your printer settings, locate the "scale" setting (aka, the "zoom" or "magnification" setting). It's generally presented alongside a percentage value. Enter a higher percentage to enlarge the schedule or a lower percentage to shrink it. You may also be able to select a setting such as "Shrink to fit" or "Fit within page."

3) Remove Header and Footer Information
If your printouts contain extra information at the top or bottom of each page (ex: the page address, the date), you can remove them within the printer settings that control "headers" and "footers."

4) Double-Sided Printing
If your printer is capable of double-sided printing, you can activate it within your printer settings. It's a great way to print the entire schedule onto one or two sheets of paper.
