Il Volo We Are Love The three, young Italian tenors, Piero Barone (19), Ignazio Boschetto (18) and Gianluca Ginoble (17) of Il Volo proved to win the hearts of PBS viewers nationwide with broadcasts of their special from the Detroit Opera House, "Il Volo Takes Flight." Now, they return with their second special, "Il Volo We Are Love," at The Fillmore Theatre in Miami, Florida.
Aside from providing a stunning vocal framework, "We Are Love," by songwriter/producer Mark Portmann (Celine Dion, Josh Groban) and Latin Grammy winner Edgar Cortazar, also allows Il Volo to show off their multilingual prowess, as they sing it in English, Spanish, French and Italian. Il Volo and album producer, Humberto Gatica again turned to Diane Warren for the album's lead track "Questo Amore." Besides being the perfect vocal opener it's a fresh Italian take on Warren's huge hit for Aerosmith, "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing". Warren also supplied the exquisitely sensitive English song "I Bring You To My Senses." The special also features a film song in "Historia De Un Amor," by Panamanian songwriter Carlos Eleta Almaran. A choice of many international artists including Nana Mouskouri and Cesaria Evora, it appeared in the 1956 Mexican movie of the same name.

Burt Bacharach's Best (My Music Presents) Thi archival PBS special includes all the original artists with rare archival footage and clips from the 1960s-1970s. For over half-a-century, the immensely popular and immediately identifiable melodies of celebrated composer Burt Bacharach have touched millions of music lovers all over the world.
Bacharach teamed with lyricist Hal David for a stunning run of classic songs, many in tandem with songstress Dionne Warwick ("Walk On By," "Anyone Who Had A Heart," "I Say A Little Prayer," "I'll Never Fall In Love Again"). British born Dusty Springfield enjoyed Bacharach hits with the wistful "Wishin' & Hopin'" and seductive "The Look Of Love" while Tom Jones popularized the playful "What's New Pussycat?" The smashes continued in the 1970s when The Carpenters reached #1 with "(They Long To Be) Close To You," following another chart-topper, "Raindrops Keep Fallin' On My Head," the Oscar-winning tune sung by B.J. Thomas in the film "Butch Cassidy & The Sundance Kid." The Fifth Dimension's Marilyn McCoo shined as a soloist on Burt & Hal's torch number "One Less Bell To Answer."

Mel Brooks: American Masters In 60 years in show business, Mel Brooks has earned more major awards than any other living entertainer. A comedy giant of our time, scrawny Melvin Kaminsky developed his aggressively funny personality on the mean streets of Brooklyn, to protect against bullies. His first public success came in the early '60s with the 2000 Year Old Man albums, recorded with Carl Reiner and unleashing Brooks' wacky mind on the world - his brazen satirical film The Producers won the 1968 Oscar for best screenplay and such cult classics as Blazing Saddles, Young Frankenstein, The Twelve Chairs, High Anxiety, To Be or Not to Be, Spaceballs and Robin Hood: Men in Tights followed. Ironically, this larger-than-life, loud-mouthed little man is very private and has been fairly reclusive since his wife of 41 years, Anne Bancroft, died in 2005. He has never authorized a biography and has requested that his friends not talk about him, making his full participation with American Masters a genuine first. duration 1:25:46   SRND51 TVPG-L
