When Percy says that Charlie is more fun than Thomas, it makes Thomas worried. Thomas doesn't want Charlie to think he isn't fun, so when Charlie starts racing around the island, Thomas joins in, but a bumpy track causes Annie and Clarabel to uncouple from Thomas and he puffs off leaving Miss Botti behind. Arriving late and without Miss Botti, Sir Topham Hatt is cross with Thomas. Thomas searches for Miss Botti and finds out that she is having a marvelous time singing to anyone who will listen and more than ready for the concert. While Percy is at the Sodor Steam Works being repaired, Thomas is excited to be given the job of doing the mail run for him. Gordon advises Thomas to ask Percy for advice but Thomas thinks he knows all about how to deliver the mail. He sets off very early in the morning, tooting his whistle loudly wherever he goes. In the process, Thomas wakes up Mavis, Cranky, Victor and Kevin. Later, the sleepy engines make mistakes and Thomas realizes his error.     Bob the Builder [#609] Tumbler's Big Day Horticultural Flex is busy studying some rare plants when he hears about Sunflower Valley's very first radio station. Bob and the team get to work building the studio and erecting the transmitter. While they work, the machines think of ideas for their very own radio shows. Flex is determined to have an original idea but every time he thinks of one, someone else has beaten him to it - Roley is doing a jingle, Dodger is telling jokes and Scoop and Muck are reading stories. Flex is so worried he'll never have an original idea that he forgets that Bob needs his to help install the tall transmitter! Flex is very sorry but Bob has a great idea to solve Flex's problem. Later, with the radio station finally finished Flex dazzles the valley with his very own gardening program! It's snowy and icy in Sunflower Valley and Bob is building an ice-rink at Bobland Bay. Dizzy is delighted since she loves to ice-skate. Tumbler declares that he loves to skate too and will show her how it's really done! On their way to collect some special concrete for the ice-rink, Tumbler skids on some ice in the road. He's not as experienced as he says! But determined not to let Dizzy find out, he does everything he can to avoid more ice - including taking them a very long way back to Bob! When Dizzy gets stuck in a snow drift, Tumbler only has one choice - to admit that he's not very good on the ice and to ask Dizzy to teach him. Caillou gets the family together to go over a basic evacuation plan, and happily spends the afternoon pretending to be a firefighter. Later, Caillou accompanies Mom to the grocery store and brings along some money from his piggybank. Caillou finds a way to spend his money: he gets his face painted by a lady at the store. Caillou and his Mommy are preparing a picnic lunch. Caillou would like to leave right away, but it's not lunchtime yet and Mom and Dad have other things to finish before they leave. To help Caillou wait, Dad gives him a small alarm clock and a special assignment: to let everybody know when it's noon. When Mr. Hinkle has a tree cut down, Caillou is afraid his swing tree is next! But on the way, Thomas sees other things he thinks the piglets will like. He soon discovers all the piglets really need is straw and rushes off to correct his mistake in time for the piglets' arrival. Thomas has to transport something called The Lion of Sodor. It's actually a statue, but Thomas thinks it's a real lion, and is too excited to listen to other engines who try to correct him. Thomas gets his friends to help by giving the "lion" fish and straw. So, all because Thomas was in too much of a hurry to listen to advice, the statue is in a real mess.     Bob the Builder [#610] Spud Hits The Airwaves When Mike Turntable, the Sunflower DJ, needs to get his new microphone, Spud volunteers to run the radio station. Mike tells him that in the world of radio "bigger is better". Spud takes this advice a little too literally and concocts a series of wild stories. When he announces that a huge non-existent storm is on its way, the Valley is thrown into chaos with machines running this way and that. Soon gridlock brings the whole place to a standstill. Bob goes to rescue Spud and discovers the truth about his stories. Spud is very sorry and uses the radio to direct everyone back to where they should be. Spud decides that being a DJ is not for him. He's better off scaring crows. Mike Turntable has just finished the night shift at the radio station is trying to get some sleep at the Bobland Bay hotel before he DJs at the hotel pool party that evening. Scoop and Muck are digging the pool in time for the party, a job that's much noisier than they expect. Mike keeps waking up. Trying to dig quietly and quickly is proving impossible. Scoop tries to soundproof Mike's room with egg boxes, but that doesn't work, so he has another idea. He remembers Mike's favorite song and plays it to him through some big headphones. Mike is soon sleeping like a baby and the pool is soon finished!     Cat in the Hat Knows A Lot About That! [#210H] Name That Sound/Fabulous Feathers * Name That Sound - Sally and Nick are trying to stump each other by guessing the animal sounds they're making. But the Cat stumps them both when he tries to make the sound of a cricket! That didn't sound like a cricket. They all try but just can't figure out how a cricket makes its noise. Well Cat's friend Clarence the Cricket can surely show them! Off to the Grassy-Grove-Dell to meet him! He shows him his wings, one that is comb-like, the other a scraper, when he rubs them together, he makes his wonderful cricket noise. Back at home Nick and Sally find things around the house they can use to mimic Clarence - a deck of cards and a comb
    * Fabulous Feathers - Sally is playing dressup, but her favourite hat no longer has any feathers on it. Where can they find more? The Cat's good friend Puranjay might be able to help! He's a peacock who lives in Feathery Flats, he has plenty of feathers! Sally collects the feathers that have fallen out of Puranjay and discover that each one has it's own distinct job. But it's his tail feathers that are just jazzy and snazzy enough for her hat! They are the most fabulous feathers!
