So Thomas decides Cranky should lift something heavier - himself!. It's too heavy for Cranky and he breaks! Sir Topham Hatt is very cross. Thomas then asks Spencer to take the heavy loads to the party at the summer house while he rushes to the Sodor Steam Works to get parts for Cranky. Once Cranky was fixed, he and Thomas have a party together at the Docks! Thomas has a special Special. He is to take Sir Topham Hatt to his special birthday party. But when Thomas goes to pick him up at Maithwaite, he doesn't look like Sir Topham Hatt at all!! He has a moustache! Things get worse as the imposter Sir Topham Hatt demands to go to the Whispering Woods where he encourages children to play. Then he stops at a junction and rushes into the signal box to have a turn at throwing the levers. As a result, Gordon hurtles down a branch line! When Thomas arrives back at Maithwaite, he realizes this isn't Sir Topham Hatt! When he can't make it over an obstacle course fence, Norville flies down to give him a boost. When Mrs. Z handsout biscuits, Clifford is crowded out, and only gets a biscuit becaus e Jorge saves him one. Clifford is just fed up with being small. But his friends remind him that they, too, have their own idiosyncrasies todeal with - Jorge has an extra- long body, Norville has all those fea thers, and Daffodil has her floppy ears. But, Clifford says, all thosethings are what make them what they are. And they point out that ther e are great things about being small, too, and that's what makes Clifford the special puppy that he is.
    * Clifford's Magic Lamp - Emily Elizabeth has read Clifford the story of Aladdin and the Magic Lamp and he can't wait to share it with his friends. Of course, Norville knows all about it - he even knows where to find the lamp! While he's off fetching it, Jorge, Daffodil, and Clifford imagine how they're going to spend their wishes. In the end, they all realize they already have everything they need.

But can he build a pump to get the water from the ground into his fifth floor bathtub?

The merry mix-up concludes as the whole family meets up to marvel at the sight of Mt. Smoky erupting.

When Thomas is asked to carry some special bubble liquid for Mr. Bubbles, the famous clown, the other engines laugh at Thomas' funnel. Thomas rushes by them really fast to get away, spilling all the bubble liquid. When Dizzy tells the team that she has seen Brickbeard backstage, Spud and Scrambler believe he's returned to stop them from finding the Golden Hammer. Later Dizzy realizes that it wasn't Brickbeard, she saw but Richard Olivier rehearsing for the play. Meanwhile, Spud and Scrambler are still trying to figure out the meaning of the last clue they found. Backstage, Spud pulls a rope to reveal a secret trap door with another red box in it! When they open the red box they find another clue, a picture of a boat. Roley & the Seagull - At Fixham Harbor, Bob and the team are in the process of moving an old ship. Roley befriends a seagull that gets very angry when the team begins to lift the old ship out of the water. The angry seagull disappears on to the ship. Spud and Scrambler's latest clue is a picture of a boat but there are several boats in the harbor. They finally get to the old ship and notice it's the Bonny Beard - Brickbeard's ship! With Lofty's help, Bob travels up to the crow's nest and realizes the angry seagull has built her nest there and wants to protect her eggs. He gently lifts the nest to reveal another red box! Spud and Scrambler are ecstatic and present the box to Bob later that evening.     * Pick Your Friends: It's Valentine's Day and Nick and Sally can't agree on how to decorate the card they're making for Cat. Does this mean they aren't really best friends? Cat takes them to meet Sheldon, a tortoise who knows all about friendship. They learn that Sheldon's best friend is completely different than he is and that being best friends doesn't mean you always have to agree.
