    This is Us [#405H] This week we are visiting the Emma Prusch Farm Park, not far from downtown San Jose. This was an actual working farm from 1870 until 1969. The Farm is now run by the City of San Jose and the Department of Parks and Recreation. It's a great place to bring kids and learn about life on a farm. We're going play with some animals and we'll learn about some really interesting gardening projects going on here.
    We'll also meet playwright and film director Luis Valdez, the man behind the camera for the films Zoot Suit and La Bamba. Valdez spent part of his childhood not far from here as a migrant farm worker. We'll also meet activist and attorney Carol Ruth Silver. During the early days of the Civil Rights Movement she was one of the original Freedom Riders.

Thomas wants to show how good they are at shunting coal but the coal trucks fly into the sky and cover everyone in black soot. Sir Topham Hatt and the Inspector are filthy, and Gordon's funnel is blocked! Thomas helps to make everything better by taking Gordon to the Steam Works to have his funnel cleared. Jitters and Japes - Thomas is given the important job of taking Sir Topham Hatt's mother, Dowager Hatt, on a tour of Sodor. Thomas thinks he knows all the places that she would like to see but nothing will please her. Thomas then discovers that he just needs to listen and ask Dowager Hatt what she would like to do and see. So, clad in a scuba outfit equipped with a camera and microphone, George investigates the wild, world of life in a limestone coral reef. George is thrilled with all the colorful sights and sea-life and even makes a few fishy pals - but will the school of small coral sharks he encounters be as friendly?
    * Old McGeorgie Had a Farm: Oscar, the Renkin's prize pig, is in the State Finals but a disappointed Mr. Renkins is too busy with the farm to attend the big fair. Enter George and the Man with the Yellow Hat who volunteer to take over his work and save the day! All they have to remember is to collect exactly one gallon of milk from Leslie the cow and divide that gallon into four one-quart bottles, gather a dozen eggs for each carton, and keep track of exactly 6 hens, 8 chicks and 1 rooster. Cinchy! Except that George forgets the most important thing of all - the correct side on which to milk the cow. So a spooked Leslie starts a chain of chaos that has George and the Man scrambling to track down all their charges and stop bedlam in the barnyard.

    Sesame Street [#4268H] Elmo and the Monarch Butterfly Elmo and Telly are reading the book Fascinating Facts About Insects. First they see two ants, and after looking at them through their magnifying glass, they learn that ants never sleep. Next they see two ladybugs and learn that ladybugs smell with their feet. When a butterfly flutters in, they wonder where his friends are and worry that he is lonely. Elmo decides to pretend to be a butterfly so he will have a friend, but the butterfly won't come over to Elmo. Telly checks the book and learns that butterflies go through a metamorphosis, or a big change, which is made up of 4 stages-starting as an egg and changing into a caterpillar then a chrysalis and finally a butterfly. Maybe if Elmo pretends to go through the four stages, the butterfly will think Elmo is a butterfly and be his friend. It works and the butterfly flutters over and lands on Elmo. They head over to Hooper's for a snack, and after checking their book, they learn that butterflies actually drink nectar from flowers or juice from fruit. Chris prepares them a snack of sliced oranges and they watch the butterfly drink with his proboscis, which is a curly little thing that unrolls and becomes like a straw that he drinks through. As Elmo begins drawing a picture of his new friend, Chris explains that he is a Monach butterfly. All of a sudden lots more Monarch butterflies flutter in and Telly checks the book and explains that Monarch butterflies migrate, or move, when the seasons change. The weather is just too cold on Sesame Street in the winter. They pass workmen who cheer for Ferdinand (not for Gordon or the Lion of Sodor!). Gordon comes up with a plan to take the quiet tracks across the Fenland but he goes too fast and the Lion of Sodor falls into the river. Gordon realizes he was wrong to think he was grander than Ferdinand. Ferdinand helps Gordon to get the Lion of Sodor back and they take it to the Steam Works to get it gleaming again. Toby and Bash - Sir Topham Hatt gives Bash a reward for being a Really Useful Engine. His reward is to spend the day with Toby to pick up the children at Knapford Station. Then they heave and haul slate to Brendham Docks. They are tired and Bash needs a rest so Toby brings him to Arlesdale End. Bash thinks Arlesdale is beautiful and Toby lets him sleep there. Toby thinks that Bash would like a home of his own on Sodor and they set out to find the perfect home. They visit the Fenlands but Bash is scared of the ducks and go to Farmer McColl's field but the cows scare Bash. Toby realizes that Bash just wants his home to remain on Misty Island.
