Well, the Cat knows just who to visit to find out - Themba the African elephant! Themba, and her daughter Efia, show the Cat and the kids all the different things their trunks can do. Nick and Sally realize that elephant trucks are just like hands, so they already have a one-thing-does-it-all tool!

The kids end up meeting a strange new nocturnal creature - a mammal named Vlad Volaticotherium, who was hiding in the roundhouse trying to get some sleep. The Pteranodon family learns more about the customs of their neighbors, the Lambeosaurus family, when they are invited for the first time to accompany them to the Big Pond to celebrate "Gourd Day" - a kind of Mesozoic Halloween. All socks come in pairs so he needs to find the matching sock. Abby appears and has a new "two trick" that turns one thing into two things. Abby waves her wand and makes a pink polka dot sock appear but it doesn't match Chris' striped sock. Abby tries another trick called the "more trick" that her mommy uses when she needs "more" of something. Four different socks appear - an argyle sock with diamond shapes, a white gym sock that does jumping jacks, a baseball playing red sock and a baby sock. They don't match Chris' striped sock either, but they do sing and dance "the five-sock conga". Just then, another customer at the laundromat finds a sock which got into her laundry by mistake. It's Chris' matching sock! Chris rushes out of the Sesame Street Laundromat with the five socks congaing after him looking for a new home and a warm drawer to curl up in. Since Sarah has no brother or sister, she invites Caillou to a little brother or sister day at school. The school is big and Caillou is a little afraid. At Muddyfeet Waterhole they discover that Louie is having the same problem! Nothing a trip inside Louie's nose can't solve! Inside a super shrunken Thingamajigger, Nick, Sally and Cat discover what causes sneezing and what they can do to avoid it from happening!

Since otters love to slide almost as much as they like to swim, the gang builds a slide into the big pond, so the otters can do both. Jackie and her dog Goldie both love swimming in MudPuppy pond. Swimming is great exercise and it's an easy way to get Goldie to take a bath.
