Toothbrush, the baby elephant stops by for a visit. His hearing might not be as good as a bloodhound's, but his ears are still great. Martin and Chris wonder what it's like to hear like these creatures, so they build a new Kratt-contraption, Super Ear Sensors. But there's so much to hear in Animal Junction, the Super Ear Sensors can't take the volume and overheat. Martin and Chris take a trip to visit an aye-aye and see how he finds his dinner with his ears. Jackie builds a fence to protect fox kits from the road. However, when Thomas hurtles towards some cows, which have wandered onto the tracks, Toby is forced to use his bell. Toby realizes that his bell is not that scary, in fact it makes a great noise. So, when Gordon races towards a fallen tree, Toby is happy to blow his whistle and save Gordon too. At Knapford Station, Hiro sees that Sir Topham Hatt is very busy. Sir Topham Hatt is in a rush to see his brother. He appears without his hat and even knocks into a porter! Edward puffs in. He needs instructions from Sir Topham Hatt for the visitors he has. Hiro decides he will help Sir Topham Hatt, by making decisions for him, in his absence! Hiro tells Edward to take the visitors to the Hills, tells Thomas to take time to visit Farmer Trotter and the piglets and then tells Percy to take his flatbed of ducks to the Fenland for a swim! Hiro feels delighted with his work until Sir Topham Hatt meets him. The visitors are late, Farmer McColl wants his ducks and where is Thomas and his crates!? Sir Topham Hatt is never too busy for engine business. Hiro is mortified. He chuffs off fast to tell Edward, Thomas and Percy to complete their tasks quickly. The Man with the Yellow Hat rescues their supplies and tries to explain that they should only put things in the ground if they want them to grow. That sounds like another great plan. George tries to see what else might grow-will car keys grow into a car? Will a rubber band grow into an inner tube?

Back at home, they put the trash in a garbage bag, and the apple core in the garden for Wriggles the worm to enjoy!
    * Itty Bitty Water - Nick and Sally are about to dump out the water in their kiddie pool when The Cat stops them - water is too precious to waste even a drop! Off they go to the Drippety Dry Desert to meet three creatures who are experts at conserving water. Back at home, they think of other ways to use the water in the pool instead of just dumping it out - like giving Cat a bath!

    Dinosaur Train [#209H] Dry Times at Pteranodon Terrace/Big Misty Sea Fishing Contest * When the weather has been extremely dry for several weeks, all the water holes at Pteranodon Terrace dry up. The Lambeosaurus family decides to move away in search of water, which upsets the kids. Dad and Mom decide to take the kids to the Big Pond on a camping trip, where they will wait out the drought and return home when it rains again. Don doesn't want to leave his home, even temporarily, and decides to perfect a "rain dance" that will make the rain return.
    * Dad learns that he's been chosen to compete in the big annual Fishing Contest at the Big Misty Sea, and is one of three contestants. The whole family rides there on the Dinosaur Train to cheer Dad on. They learn that the contestants are Dad, the Old Spinosaurus, and Dad's childhood friend and rival, a huge raptor named Marco Megaraptor. The three all end up fighting over Chester, the legendary biggest fish in the Big Misty Sea.

When they return from eating a healthy power snack, their ball is missing! It's a real mystery and they need to investigate to solve the problem! First, Telly writes down what they already know about the mystery! Then, he forms a hypothesis, or a guess, that Abby must have made the basketball disappear because she's able to do magic. Abby tells them that she was with the seven dwarves so it couldn't have been her. Telly and Elmo investigate further and Elmo suggests that they look under the table. The basketball isn't there and now Telly's notebook and crayon have vanished making the mystery even more mysterious! Elmo discovers a new clue and after thinking about where he's heard this "whoosh" sound before, he forms a new hypothesis- the Big Bad Wolf did it! The Big Bad Wolf explains that it wasn't him either. Now they hear the "whoosh" again and Telly's hat is missing! This time they also feel a tickle but don't see anything. Leela comes by and helps them piece all the clues together. What can be all around that you can sometimes hear and feel, but can't see? Wind! Elmo and Telly experiment and test out their new hypothesis and see if the wind made their things disappear. They follow a leaf flying in the wind and find all of their missing things. Caillou's Favourite Sweater: Grandma has knit Caillou a wonderful sweater. He loves it and wears it every day - even after it gets dirty! Finally, on a hot day, Caillou decides to take it off. When he accidentally leaves the sweater in the playground and goes home for the day, he worries something terrible has happened to it. Grandma will be so upset with him! When Mommy and Caillou return the next day to find the sweater is fine, Caillou vows to never wear it again. He decides to keep it in his drawer, nice and safe - until Grandma explains it's okay to wear the sweater - it's meant to be worn - just not everyday. Educational Objective: All things in moderation; taking care of one's possessions. Caillou's Big Dig: Caillou is feeling frustrated while trying to build a model truck. He decides he wants to quit! Daddy suggests Caillou take a break and join him on an errand. Together, they stop by Eric's dig site, where Caillou learns a little bit about archaeology - and he learns that some things take time and effort, but the effort is worth it in the end. But when she returns, she discovers that not only has she set Grandpa Billy's tools into concrete; she's also thrown away Bob's precious frame! Dizzy has an idea to make up for the mistakes she's made. Wendy helps to mount the concreted tools in the rescued frame, and hang it over the door of the new workshop. When Bob sees his new sign, he's over the moon! Travis' New Garage - The team has a big job today, building Travis a surprise garage. As Roley tries to find other lost things, he knocks over a pile of wood and then moves Wendy's saw without telling her. He even manages to whizz off into the fields and get himself lost! Bob and the team have to put down their tools and look for Roley. It's great to find lost things but not if it slows down the build. Now it looks like Travis's new garage won't be finished in time. Farmer Pickles had left a list of Travis' favorite things, to be put in his new garage to make him feel at home - but it's gone! When Roley puts the lost property skills to the test, he finds the list! Back in Nick's yard they sneak up on his mom and surprise her! Then Nick and Sally are surprised when the best sneaker-upper sneaks up on them - The Cat!
    * Fantastic Flour - Nick and Sally are making their "Best Ever Yummy For Your Tummy" muffins when they realize they don't have enough flour. Cat knows just where to get more - Finola's Farm! With help from Cat, Sally, Nick, and the Things, Finola harvests the wheat then shows them how to turn it into flour. Now that they have enough flour,they can finish making their muffins!

A sheep has a thick wool coat for warmth. A lynx has soft fur and furry paws to help her live in the snowy cold. And a quick trip to a petting zoo drives the point home even more. Creatures have all kinds of coats, but every creature has the best coat for where ever he or she lives. Jackie does a turn as a duck-crossing guard. She helps herd ducklings across the road to the safety of MudPuppy Pond. After she scoops the last one across, she nuzzles into the duckling's soft coat.
