Chris explains that the pencil will help create sound by raising the rubber bands up off the box to make it easier for them to vibrate. LMNOP is ready to try the guitar out on stage but there is no stage. Chris, Allen, and Telly construct a stage out of vegetable crates reinforced with tape so the crates will stay together and be strong enough. It works! LMNOP jumps onto the stage and now asks for a sound check. Together they construct a microphone using lampshades. They will help amplify the sound and make it louder for the audience to hear. The last thing LMNOP needs is flashlights for lights and he's ready to perform! As Grover rummages through his suitcase, Abby notices the two timpani drums set up in the orchestra area, and Bob suggests that she try to figure out which part of the drums vibrate. Moyers & Company [#232H] How People Power Generates Change With our democracy threatened by plutocrats and the politicians in their pockets more than ever, the antidote to organized money is organized people. Now 70, he's still organizing across the United States and the Middle East, and back at Harvard, teaching students from around the world about what it takes to beat Goliath.
Later on the broadcast, economic equality advocates Rachel LaForest, executive director of Right to the City, and Madeline Janis, co-founder and national policy director of Los Angeles Alliance for a New Economy, discuss with Bill how social action can change both policy and lives.
