Since otters love to slide almost as much as they like to swim, the gang builds a slide into the big pond, so the otters can do both. Jackie and her dog Goldie both love swimming in MudPuppy pond. Swimming is great exercise and it's an easy way to get Goldie to take a bath. Emily is collecting the flowers for the new window boxes, but when Mavis does not say hello, Emily assumes she is sad and chuffs to the quarry to cheer her up with some of the flowers. The flowers end up in the way of the engines' work. Edward and Thomas crash and slate goes everywhere. Mavis arrives to find the quarry in a mess. Emily learns that if she had asked, she would have known that Mavis wasn't sad at all. Emily tidies the quarry and delivers the flowers, which makes Mavis really happy. Henry wants to do good deeds but instead he manages to do bad deeds. He lets a herd of clean pigs get dirty in a field. He frightens the pigs so they topple over a barrel of apples and the pigs eat the apples. He scares away the Sodor Warbler just as bird watchers are about to take its photo. In despair, Henry carries out his original task of taking a tall nesting pole to the coast. On the way, Henry gives a lift to a tired bird. It turns out to be the Sodor Warbler. Elmo rushes to show everybody, but when Rosita arrives, the rainbow has disappeared. Elmo asks Leela if there is something he can do to bring the rainbow back. Leela offers to draw a picture of a rainbow. Leela can't remember all the colors of the rainbow, but uses the acronym Roy G. Biv to help her remember the colors. Rosita likes the picture, but she wants to see a real rainbow. Elmo gets an idea! What about a rainbow of monsters? Elmo gathers monsters of all different colors; red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet. After many attempts, the monsters finally line up in appropriate order. Rosita enjoys seeing a rainbow of different colored monsters, but still wishes she could see a real rainbow. Abby hears Rosita and recites a magic rhyme to grant Rosita's wish. Poof! Oh no! Instead of making a rainbow appear, raincoats appear on Elmo and Rosita! Abby tries again and again. Her magic rhyme still doesn't work. Abby makes a rainstorm, instead of a rainbow. Everyone rushes inside, where Gordon makes a rainbow appear using a flashlight, glass of water, and white paper. Afterward, as Elmo and Rosita are playing outside, Rosita looks up and sees something special, a rainbow!
