It's spring and Jackie and the Animal Helpers are planting an evergreen tree. The tree was Jackie's Christmas tree, so she wants to decorate it for the birds. He soon discovers all the piglets really need is straw and rushes off to correct his mistake in time for the piglets' arrival. Thomas has to transport something called The Lion of Sodor. It's actually a statue, but Thomas thinks it's a real lion, and is too excited to listen to other engines who try to correct him. Thomas gets his friends to help by giving the "lion" fish and straw. So, all because Thomas was in too much of a hurry to listen to advice, the statue is in a real mess. Abby has trouble at first. She sits on the bike the wrong way. She also becomes frustrated riding her tricycle and thinks she needs magic to push the pedals. With hard work and practice, though, Abby learns to ride without help from Gordon. Whee! Abby becomes so excited that her wings start flapping and her tricycle lifts off! Now Caillou and Rosie get to pick out their very own stickers for brushing their teeth and cleaning up the toys in their bedrooms! When Caillou dresses himself, he learns that when you put your pants on backwards, you can change and put them on right. When he sees Dad and Grandpa in suits and ties for a big party, he changes into his grownup clothes too. Jonas, a friend of Dad's and a real cowboy, has invited the family to visit his ranch. The Pteranodon kids also learn about classification, and Don leads the way organizing the dinosaurs on the Train by their species, features, and size. The Pteranodon family is on the Dinosaur Train, now very crowded with all 26 dinosaurs mentioned in the `Dinosaurs A to Z' song. The Train has added more extra cars than it ever has, and there's even an additional engine to help pull the Train to Troodon Town. The Fairy Doctor tells Abby the magic words to get the freckles back, "Fricka-Fracka, Freckle Back-A". All of a sudden, Abby's freckles jump off of her face, glowing and bouncing all around! Abby with the help of Alan chase one freckle as it bounces into Hooper's store. Chris spots it on a cereal box. Abby says the magic words and poof! The freckle returns to Abby's face. Abby has five more to find! Rosita notices the dot on the center of her flower drawing is sparkling and so is the dot on the "i" in her name "Rosita." Abby says the magic words two times and the freckles reappear on Abby's face. Only three more to go! Abby notices that all the freckles seem to be hiding on little circles and realizes she should look for circles! Abby sees two more freckles go bouncing into the Laundromat. Mama Bear notices a sparkling freckle on Baby Bear's polka dotted underpants and Elmo notices a freckle on Leela's nose ring. Magic word time! Abby leaves the Laundromat and notices a freckle on Cookie Monster's cookie. He's about to take a bite! Luckily, Abby stops him just in time to say the magic words and get the last and final freckle back on her face. He follows the sound to find out its source. Caillou continues his search and discovers Gilbert in his room, having a great time playing with a baby toy. Later, Caillou goes up to the attic with Mom and finds a box containing a teddy bear and a music box. Caillou and Rosie find a way to share these treasures. Caillou gets a special invitation to go to Andre's gym class. A little intimidated at first, Caillou tries his best and ends up having great fun. Caillou finds the leap-frog exercise difficult but he keeps trying and finally succeeds. Caillou learns to deal with a change in plans, when Daddy has to use the car and Mommy and Caillou have to take the subway. As Thomas gets more excited, he chuffs faster and faster and ends up along a bumpy track. Soon his trucks bump high in the air and the storybooks land in Farmer McColl's field. Thomas doesn't want to let the children down and decides to make it a picnic story time, and brings the children to the storybooks. Percy has a special Special. He is to deliver a big gift crate to Knapford. It is Dowager Hatt's birthday present from Sir Topham Hatt. Percy is so proud that he decides that rather than go directly to Knapford, he will show off his gift crate to Mavis. But at the Quarry,it gets covered in slate dust! Percy is mortified and tries to fix the situation by taking the crate to the Wash Down and then to be dried at the Sodor Steam Works. It is all a disaster! Percy then realizes that he could put the bedraggled parcel into a new crate. Victor helps him and supplies a brand new crate which is painted red. The St. Bernards are the gang's slimy buddies. More slimy buddies arrive in the form of a giant bullfrog, a Pacman frog, and a Budgetts frog. Frogs need slime to keep them from drying out. Salamanders do, too. Earthworms have slime that helps them slide through tunnels in the ground. Slime is great! Chris, Martin and Zoboo build a slime shower, so they can be slimy, too. Jackie and the Animal Helpers are raking up dead leaves and putting them into the pond to make MudPuppy Pond an even slimier home for mudpuppy salamanders. Martin was actually trying to warn the woman about the dangers of sunbathing for fear of skin cancer, but his usual abrupt and quirky manner has caused offense. Gossip about the blood phobia which forced Martin to terminate his brilliant career as a surgeon seems to have spread round the village like wild fire. Two patients in the surgery can't resist mentioning the 'b' word to Martin. Then he gets an urgent call from the pub. Bert has had a terrible accident while working there, and he's bleeding profusely. The sight of blood pouring from Bert's wound begins to trigger the all too familiar panic attacks for Martin.     Earlier this year, a number of books were removed from Tucson, Arizona classrooms when the Tucson school district eliminated a Mexican-American studies program on the accusation it was "divisive." The program included references to Urrea's work. Urrea talks with Bill about that episode as he unfolds the modern reality of life on the border.

      The Martinez translator for KQED-FM will be off the air all day Tuesday June 3rd. We are rebuilding the 25 year old site with all new antennas and cabling. This should only affect people listening on 88.1MHz in the Martinez/Benicia area.
