    Ready Jet Go! [#115H] Ice Moon Enceladus/What Goes Up.... * Ice Moon Enceladus - Sean sets up a sno-cone stand to help raise money to send a spaceship to Mars. But it's the hottest day of the year and he quickly runs out of ice, and he can't find any nearby. Then Jet has an idea where they can go to get some ice-Saturn's ice moon, Enceladus! Curriculum: Enceladus is a small moon of Saturn that contains a liquid ocean underneath an outer layer of ice. It has "ice volcanoes" that shoot geyser-like jets of water vapor into space. Some of the water vapor falls back as "snow" and the rest escapes, which supplies most of the material making up Saturn's E ring.
    * What Goes Up... - Jet builds a mini-flying saucer in his garage and wants to test it, but to succeed, he has to learn what gravity is and how it works. Curriculum: Gravity is an invisible pulling power that every object has-planets, moons, stars, and YOU. Gravity pulls all objects in the universe toward one another. The bigger and heavier an object is (the more mass it has), the more gravity it has.

Dad shows Caillou a neat trick to call the ducks. When a white rabbit eats a bunch of carrots set aside for a picnic lunch, Caillou and Rosie go looking for him. They soon discover that it isn't a wild rabbit, his name is Snowball and he belongs to Mr. Hinkle's sister. On another day, Caillou and his family are leaving for a picnic in the country but the ride feels very long for Caillou. When they stop at a gas station, Caillou spots some cows in a field next to a picnic area. The family decides to have the picnic there, where they have a close encounter with some cows. Caillou learns about patience when he goes fishing with Daddy and Grandpa at the pier. At the site, Scoop accidentally breaks an underground water pipe and, amid the chaos, Lofty breaks the paving slabs. Bob remedies the situation by using the broken slabs anyway, making a new paving design. The team finishes the job and the statue is unveiled with an unexpected surprise. The statue is not of Mayor Madison, but of Mr. Bentley in his snorkeling outfit. Learning Goals: To explore creative problem solving. To understand that some systems are underground. To appreciate the importance of following directions. Bob the Brave: The Fixham Medieval Festival is opening tonight and Bob and the team are building a portcullis.     Dinosaur Train [#206H] That's Not A Dinosaur/Tiny's Garden * The kids visit the Big Pond to attend the Biome Block Party. While attempting to win the leaf-necklace contest, Keenan Chirostemotes claims the Pteranodon sibs can't compete for the prize for "dinosaur" with the most leaves because they are not dinosaurs. This launches the kids into a song called "That's Not a Dinosaur", as all the non-dinosaurs sing their piece. In the end, the game rules are changed to include all creatures, even non-dinosaurs, in all the contests!
    * The Nature Trackers go on a visit to the Big Pond, where Tiny hopes to see her favorite flowers. The Conductor tells her that if the kids gather seeds at the pond, they can bring them home and plant a garden full of those same flowers at the family nest! The kids all get into it, gathering seeds and bringing them home, where they plant a garden,and meet its new inhabitants, including Sammy, a friendly slug, who explains that slugs, spiders, and butterflies all help to make a garden complete.

    Dinosaur Train [#207H] The Earthquake/Nursery Car * Mom takes the kids on a playdate with Tank Triceratops to the desert, where they meet a distant relative of Tank's, an early Ceratopsian named Penelope Protoceratops. The Conductor points out that Penelope lives in a part of the world that gets a lot of earthquakes, and sure enough, the kids experience their first quake with Penelope. Mom and the Conductor have prepared the kids with excellent advice about what to do in an earthquake, so everyone does fine.
    * When the family rides the Dinosaur Train, they learn that a new car has been added - a Nursery Car, with dozens of eggs in little, padded nests, attended by their expectant moms and dads. The kids watch the eggs hatch, and try to guess which hatchling goes with which dinosaur parent.

When they finally find out where the stream begins they are amazed!
    * Hal's Day Off - After a silly mishap leaves Hal alone in the big city (well, he does have his chew-toy Mr. Chewinsky with him), it's up to Nature Cat, Squeeks and Daisy to make their way to the city and find Hal! Tally ho! Even though Hal is having so much fun sightseeing, he will need to get home somehow. When Nature Cat, Squeeks and Daisy can't locate Hal, they turn to animals that they never even knew lived in the city for help!

Jet, Sydney, and Sean fly with Celery out to Saturn to find out before the competition begins, so Mindy and Carrot can finish their entry in time! Saturn is a gas planet that seems to have a hot solid inner core of iron and rocky material surrounded by an outer core probably composed of ammonia, methane, and water. < br>* Kid-Kart Derby - Jet builds an electric engine from scratch for the annual soapbox derby competition, but Mitchell, determined to win the derby, is suspicious that Jet is using some alien technology.     Dinosaur Train [#206H] That's Not A Dinosaur/Tiny's Garden * The kids visit the Big Pond to attend the Biome Block Party. While attempting to win the leaf-necklace contest, Keenan Chirostemotes claims the Pteranodon sibs can't compete for the prize for "dinosaur" with the most leaves because they are not dinosaurs. This launches the kids into a song called "That's Not a Dinosaur", as all the non-dinosaurs sing their piece. In the end, the game rules are changed to include all creatures, even non-dinosaurs, in all the contests!
    * The Nature Trackers go on a visit to the Big Pond, where Tiny hopes to see her favorite flowers. The Conductor tells her that if the kids gather seeds at the pond, they can bring them home and plant a garden full of those same flowers at the family nest! The kids all get into it, gathering seeds and bringing them home, where they plant a garden,and meet its new inhabitants, including Sammy, a friendly slug, who explains that slugs, spiders, and butterflies all help to make a garden complete.

    Dinosaur Train [#207H] The Earthquake/Nursery Car * Mom takes the kids on a playdate with Tank Triceratops to the desert, where they meet a distant relative of Tank's, an early Ceratopsian named Penelope Protoceratops. The Conductor points out that Penelope lives in a part of the world that gets a lot of earthquakes, and sure enough, the kids experience their first quake with Penelope. Mom and the Conductor have prepared the kids with excellent advice about what to do in an earthquake, so everyone does fine.
    * When the family rides the Dinosaur Train, they learn that a new car has been added - a Nursery Car, with dozens of eggs in little, padded nests, attended by their expectant moms and dads. The kids watch the eggs hatch, and try to guess which hatchling goes with which dinosaur parent.

      Next week, Sutro Tower will be switching most stations to their auxiliary antennas. KQED TV will be at half power on the lower auxiliary antenna, this will affect some of our Over The Air viewers. Maintenance is scheduled on August 21-25 from 9am through 4pm daily.
