Squeeks comes to the rescue with a great idea: to act like other nighttime animals and use some of their other senses to find it.

    Ready Jet Go! [#137H] Castaway Carrot/Jet Can't Sleep After an afternoon on the Moon, Celery, Jet, and Sunspot discover, as they fly to Earth, that they have mistakenly left Carrot on the Moon! Then the saucer malfunctions and they receive news of a possible solar storm headed their way. In a nail-biter, Jet and Sunspot do a mid-outer space repair job - as per Celery's instructions -with Carrot comically adapting to the Moon environment. In the end, the saucer is fixed, Carrot is rescued, and the solar storm heads in the opposite direction of the Moon. / When a loud thunderstorm hits the neighborhood one evening, the Propulsions are woken up. They gather in the kitchen as the noisy storm rages on, and Jet is too excited to get back to sleep. Carrot, Celery, and Sunspot are sympathetic - they're in the same boat! During the night they all learn about Earth storms as compared to storms on other planets. And then they all try to get Jet to fall back asleep, a seemingly impossible task. At first, the dogs are upset with him, but then they overhear Mrs. Howard say that sometimes a grumpy attitude can be changed through kindness. This inspires the dogs to perform a series of "secret good deeds" to turn Mr. Bleakman's frown into a smile. Steamie Stafford - Stafford doesn't run on coal and water like the steam engines, he runs on a battery which is very quiet. So when Stafford overhears some children saying he doesn't sound like a proper engine, he becomes upset. Stafford asks Thomas and Percy to teach him how to make the same chuffing sounds they do. When he is sent to collect some lambs, his new noisy sounds make the lambs run away! But when another fire starts on the same night, Flynn races to put it out, proving Sir Topham Hatt really does need two fire engines after all. Gordon Runs Dry - When a stone bounces off his boiler, Gordon doesn't wait to be checked over and hurries on his way, only to find that he has to keep stopping to take on more water. When Gordon finally runs out of water, he realizes that his boiler was damaged by the stone and has been leaking. Soon the once proud engine is being shunted to the Steamworks to be repaired.     Bob the Builder [#910] Trying Hard Pass the Parcel: Roland Sweet of Roland's Gifts employs Bob and the team to install a robotic picking system which will pick items off the shelves, wrap them, and put them into delivery vans. It's the Christmas season and, because of an impending snowstorm, the team needs to work fast. Boasting his knowledge of robotics, Leo attempts to operate the system and it malfunctions. With the system down, the team works together to replicate the mechanical movements of the robots in order to complete all of the toy orders. Learning Goals: To show how systems have components that work together To understand the value of positive teamwork. To be aware of one's limitations. Dig This: Bob and the team are digging the foundations for a skyscraper in Spring City's new business zone. When Scoop and Muck engage in an on-site digging challenge against one another, Scoop makes an unexpected find. Bob calls archaeologist Graeme Spode, who announces that the discovery is Roman ruins. The building is halted while Spode and fellow archaeologists excavate the site. This event prompts an educational experience for the team as they learn about ancient tools. Bob and the team construct a viewing platform/walkway over the ruins so that people can safely watch the dig unfold. Learning Goals: To explore past and present. Mail Mix Up: Duck offers to help Kangaroo deliver letters to his WordFriends, but he forgets Kangaroo's instructions and delivers the wrong letters to everyone. At first Buddy is not enthusiastic about travelling underwater, but quickly becomes a convert when he sees the spectacular sights under the sea.
    * Dinosaur Block Party - The Pteranodon family hosts a block party to introduce their new neighbors, the Lambeosaurus family, to all the other neighborhood creatures. The different species all join together to fly, dive, fish, race and especially, to rock the block!

    Splash and Bubbles [#111] Super Splash!/Pearlene While playing, Splash senses something is wrong and quickly swims out of Dunk's way as he comes in for a hard landing. The strange thing is that Splash wasn't even looking in Dunk's direction, so how did he know he was coming? Convinced that he has some sort of superpower, the kids begin testing Splash's limits in a series of sneak attacks, which never work. Gush soon explains that Splash isn't a superhero, but simply has a lateral line sense, which is common for fish. / Ripple feels like she is struggling to be part of her group of friends, then meets a shy oyster named Pearlene, who also feels isolated from those around her. Seeing how nice and kind Pearlene truly is, Ripple encourages her to "open up" to others and make new friends. She does, and finds that, despite her rocky, mucky exterior, she has a great inner beauty: not just the pearl inside of her shell, but also her warmth and compassion for everyone. duration 28:55   SRND51 TVY

It's supposed to be an amazing nature sight! But getting there proves to be a big problem for Nature Cat, who has a series of mishaps, leaving him to question his love of nature. Gasp!       Next week, Sutro Tower will be switching most stations to their auxiliary antennas. KQED TV will be at half power on the lower auxiliary antenna, this will affect some of our Over The Air viewers. Maintenance is scheduled on August 21-25 from 9am through 4pm daily.
