    Bob the Builder [#910] Trying Hard Pass the Parcel: Roland Sweet of Roland's Gifts employs Bob and the team to install a robotic picking system which will pick items off the shelves, wrap them, and put them into delivery vans. It's the Christmas season and, because of an impending snowstorm, the team needs to work fast. Boasting his knowledge of robotics, Leo attempts to operate the system and it malfunctions. With the system down, the team works together to replicate the mechanical movements of the robots in order to complete all of the toy orders. Learning Goals: To show how systems have components that work together To understand the value of positive teamwork. To be aware of one's limitations. Dig This: Bob and the team are digging the foundations for a skyscraper in Spring City's new business zone. When Scoop and Muck engage in an on-site digging challenge against one another, Scoop makes an unexpected find. Bob calls archaeologist Graeme Spode, who announces that the discovery is Roman ruins. The building is halted while Spode and fellow archaeologists excavate the site. This event prompts an educational experience for the team as they learn about ancient tools. Bob and the team construct a viewing platform/walkway over the ruins so that people can safely watch the dig unfold. Learning Goals: To explore past and present.     Dinosaur Train [#213] Dinosaur Train Submarine: Otto Opthalmosaurus/King Meets Crystal When the Pteranodon family takes the Dinosaur Train under the sea to visit their friend Elmer Elasmosaurus, they learn that the Elasmosaurus family is going away from the station to follow their food, the fish. Buddy wants to follow, but the train tunnel doesn't go that way - so the Conductor decides to take the family in a brand-new invention, the Dinosaur Train Submarine! On their journey, they meet a marine reptile called Otto Opthalmosaurus, who guides the submarine deeper than it's ever been, and even helps them find their way out of a sea cave. During a day at Troodon Town Music Festival, the Pteranodon family and King Cryolophosaurus hear a wonderful singer named Crystal Cryolophosaurus. King is very interested in becoming friends with Crystal, another dinosaur of his species, but he gets very nervous when trying to talk to her.     Dinosaur Train [#214] Dinosaur Train Submarine: Shoshana Shonosaurus/All Kinds of Families The Pteranodon family goes under the sea again, to ride the Dinosaur Train Submarine - this time they go to meet Shoshana Shonisaurus, an enormous marine reptile that's something between a dolphin and a whale. Since Shoshana loves to dive down very deep, Shiny has a problem with following her down to the bottom of the sea. Shoshana kindly helps Shiny get over her fear of diving deep. When Buddy expresses his feelings about being adopted to Tiny and Mrs. Pteranodon, they tell him that he will always be a part of the Pteranodon family. Mom takes Buddy and Tiny to meet another adopted dinosaur kid named Sonny Sauroposeidon, a huge tall creature, now a part of tiny Mikey Microraptor's family. It's up to the gang to find Dustin and bring him back before the race starts. But looking for a small green bug turns out to be more easily said than done!
    * Fall For Hal - The first day of fall is Hal's favorite day of the year. It's when he always goes on his First Day of Fall Scavenger Hunt. But there is a big problem this year. Hal is sick and can't get out of bed! When it looks like Hal is in for some major disappointment today, Nature Cat comes up with a great idea: they will bring fall, and all the items on his scavenger list, to Hal!

    Ready Jet Go! [#124H] Which Moon Is Best?/Detective Mindy "Which Moon is Best?" - Sean wants to be the first to walk on a moon, like his hero Neil Armstrong. When Sydney points out that 12 astronauts have already walked on our Moon, Sean thinks that rather than be the 13th to walk on OUR moon, why not be the first to walk on ANOTHER moon in our solar system? Sure, but which moon? The kids decide to compare the frozen moons Europa, which orbits Jupiter, and Enceladus, which orbits Saturn. They get help from Carrot and Celery, who fly them to each one, and Sean gets to walk on them. Curriculum: The gas giants Jupiter and Saturn each have around 60 moons - each of them unique.       *UPDATE: The tower crew will work the Fremont peak tower as of 11am, Thursday, Nov 30th. We will need to lower power on KQET, Channel 25, to 25% at 10:30am through 4-5pm. Thank you for your patience!

    • Scheduled Maintenance 8/21-8/25

      Next week, Sutro Tower will be switching most stations to their auxiliary antennas. KQED TV will be at half power on the lower auxiliary antenna, this will affect some of our Over The Air viewers. Maintenance is scheduled on August 21-25 from 9am through 4pm daily.
