Dr. Twiggles shows them how to pick the cotton, clean and dry it, comb it and spin it into thread. Finally, he demonstrates how the thread comes together to make a patch by using his loom. They even learn how to dye the cotton by using berry juice. Nick's favourite shirt is as good as new!

He sets out on the road, wobbling. Rocky tells Flynn that Sir Topham Hatt's shed is on fire. Flynn goes on the tracks, even though the road is faster, because he doesn't want to be a "big red wobble on wheels". On the way to the shed, Flynn meets Butch and Bertie. They both need his help but Flynn chuffs on because he feels too silly to roll on the road. Flynn is late because he should have used the road! The crowd around the shed cheer for Flynn as he puts out the fire. He returns to help Butch and Bertie. Flynn isn't a "big red wobble on wheels"! He's the hero of the day! Bust My Buffers - One day, Gordon is too snooty to notice some freight cars in front of him and crashes into them. Gordon's buffer crashes onto the track and he loses his buffer. Den and Dart offer to help repair Gordon but he insists that Diesels cannot fix Steamies, and he huffs away without his buffer. Mavis and Salty tell Gordon that he needs a buffer. Reluctantly, Gordon chuffs back to Den and Dart and they fix him with a yellow and black diesel buffer. Gordon is very embarrassed by it. Thomas makes Gordon realize that he should be happy that he is fixed and can be a Really Useful engine! Gordon says sorry and thank you to Den and Dart. Whiff struggles with the heavy train and has to stop on the track causing Thomas crashes into Whiff. Garbage flies into the air and all over Thomas! Thomas is the stinkiest engine on Sodor! While Thomas cleans up the garbage, he gives Whiff the Special of taking the Duchess. Sodor Surprise Day - Sodor Surprise Day is a day in which people and engines surprise each other and make each other laugh. When Gordon declares Sodor Surprise Day to be silly, Thomas decides to show Gordon how much fun it can be, instead of doing his job. He surprises Gordon at the coal hopper, at a junction and then at the docks! But Thomas only succeeds in ruining the fireworks for the Surprise Day party and doesn't do his job.     Caillou [#416] Springtime! Caillou is excited that spring is coming, but is disappointed when he finds out there will be no more snow. Caillou and Sarah find a way to save a patch of snow they find under the porch, but soon learn they can't keep it forever. Mom and Dad are busy with spring-cleaning and Caillou wants to help. After a couple of ill-fated attempts, Mom and Dad give Caillou his very own chore to do. Then, Caillou's excited because it's raining and he's looking forward to puddle splashing when he goes out with his Mommy. It seems like forever before they can leave because there's always something else he has to do. By the time they're ready to go the rain has stopped, but there are still plenty of puddles for Caillou to jump in! Caillou is very excited about the neighborhood rummage sale until he's asked to figure out what he'd like to contribute. He's not so sure he wants to part with any of his toys.     Bob the Builder [#921] Competition Time Battle of the Boards: Bob and the team are building a skate park for the Spring City Rockets, as they plan to enter an online video competition for action sports. After Leo fibs about his masterful skateboarding abilities, he and Dizzy compete for the extra spot on the Rockets' team. An inexperienced Leo almost collides with the Machines and prompts Two-Tonne to back into the bowl and deposit a torrent of cement into the skate park. The team rallies together and sculpts the cement into a new jump. Dizzy's talent earns her a place in the Rockets' video and they win the online competition. Learning Goals: To observe motion, pushing the skate board, and gravitational pull. To see that learning most new things takes practice. To see the value of telling the truth and not exaggerating. Bob and the Masked Biker: Skye Sampson is hosting a beach motocross race and has appointed Bob and the team to build the course. But not only is Bob creating the course, he plans to race on it, too. The Machines get wrapped into the hype surrounding the race and are determined to hold one of their own. Using the finished course, they hold an unofficial race that ultimately destroys the site. The team pulls together, works through the night, and the course is ready the next morning. Bob competes in the race and finishes second place to a mysterious masked biker-Wendy! Learning Goals: To show that machines need to be maintained for optimal performance. To take responsibility and fix mistakes whenever possible. Daniel is very curious, and learns that if he looks closely, he may be able to answer his own questions about how strawberries grow and learn something new. A Trip to the Crayon Factory - Daniel Tiger, Miss Elaina, and Katerina Kittycat take a fun trip to the factory to see how crayons are made but, O the Owl can't come because he's sick. At the factory, the kids watch the crayons being made, and Daniel looks and listens closely. Curriculum: The first manned mission to the Moon took place on July 20, 1969, and the first two humans on the Moon were Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin. The astronauts were launched from a Saturn V rocket on the Apollo 11 mission. "Mindy's Moon Bounce House" - Jet gives a special birthday gift to Mindy that allows her to defy gravity. She has so much fun hovering above everyone, the others have to convince her to come back to Earth in time for her party. Curriculum: Gravity is a natural phenomenon by which all physical bodies attract one another.
