    Anne of Green Gables: The Animated Series [#113] The Avonlea Herald Under the guidance of Rachel Lynde, who has always had a 'nose-for-news', the children start up The Avonlea Herald, a weekly newspaper. Anne works hard to be made editor. The other children gladly fill their respective posts. As they are working on their first issue, a big story breaks in Avonlea, sending the whole "staff" into action. Anne, in her enthusiasm, takes over all departments. On top of that, her dictatorial management style disheartens the other children. Initially frustrated with "her staff," she comes to realize that it is her own attitude that is the problem. When she allows everyone to have a sense of ownership and to feel the rewards of contributing, the news team starts to function smoothly and the resulting issue is a great success. duration 28:46   STEREO TVY

Cat will take them to a sandy beach that's full of marbles! But when they get there, all they see is sand.Cat's friend Sharky McGee explains that sand makes glass. He shows them how sand is turned into glass and all the wonderful things you can make with it. Including marbles!

But Clifford and Emily Elizabeth and her friends wont give up on trying to convince Mr. Bleakman that trying something new can be fun! Finally they are able to convince him to join them and a great time is had by all.
    * The Best Gift - Emily Elizabeth believes she has the perfect gift for her mothers birthday. She plans to spend the entire afternoon with her mother and the reading of a poem written just for her mom. Charley agrees that the gift is perfect, but Jetta has other ideas. Emily Elizabeth agrees to at least try some of Jetta's ideas. But in the end she realizes that the gift she created from her heart really is the best gift.

    Maya & Miguel [#142] Miguel's Wonderful Life It's Christmas, and the Santos family is getting ready for the festivities. Maya, in her enthusiasm, manages to mess up things for Miguel: she spills juice on his book report, volunteers him to hang a pinata in class (a task which makes him take a humiliating fall), volunteers him to wear a too-big Santa suit and follow her around wishing their neighbors happy holidays (his pants fall down in front of everyone), and smudges a painting he was making as a gift to his parents. Frustrated, Miguel angrily declares that he wishes he never had a sister. The next day, he awakens to find his wish has come true; Maya doesn't exist, and nobody's ever heard of her. Paco (who has inexplicably become incredibly articulate) follows him aroundcommenting as Miguel takes in how the world has changed. At first, it seems like all his Maya-made troubles are over... but then Miguel sees how the lack of Maya's influence has adversely affected the world: Maggie and Chrissy aren't friends because they had a difference of opinion (which Maya had previously helped them overcome) Mr. Nguyen isn't their teacher because he felt unappreciated (Maya had made him feel appreciated), Jimmy McCorkle became a bully, etc. Finally realizing how much worse everything is without Maya, Miguel regrets he ever made the wish, and wishes it all to be reversed.
