Curious George [#402H] The Big Picture/Juicy George * The Big Picture - George loves imitating the Cerulean Warbler's distinct chirp and is aghast when the Man with the Yellow Hat tells him that his favorite bird is on the endangered species list. Not to worry, the Man just wrote a book to make people aware that the bird needs assistance. But unfortunately, stores don't want to carry the book because, at 1,400 pages, it looks like a boring scientific tome. Fortunately, George runs into Steve who has lots of idea for promoting his lemonade stand. This prompts George to come up with an idea of his own -- paint an empty billboard with a razzle-dazzle picture to help promote the book. Easier said than done and even when done, will it help sell the book and spread the bird word?
    * Juicy George - George has never seen a farmer's market before and finding one on his doorstep is just about the best thing ever -- until he drinks Juicy Jay's special blended juice and then that's the best thing ever! When the farmer's market leaves and there's no more juice, the Man with the Yellow Hat and George decide they need their own juicer. As they start to unpack their new purchase, the Man gets called away. A smart monkey can figure out a juicer on his own and recreate the special juice, right? It's certainly not as easy as it seems and certainly not a mess-free process! Although he has a few missteps (amazing how mushed vegetables can fly all the way to the ceiling), George masters the juicer. But will he be able to make the juice he and the Man think is the best ever?

Elmo reluctantly agrees. When Zoe puts Rocco in the water, he immediately sinks to the bottom. Leela explains to her that not all rocks float, some sink. Zoe suggests that if Rocco had a boat he would be able to float. Leela thinks this is a great idea for an experiment! Elmo comes up with the idea of Rocco floating on pencils since he saw sticks float in a lake once. With Leela's help, they experiment to see if the pencils float. They do! But when they place Rocco on the pencils he falls right off. Zoe brings back a piece of paper, which is wider and flatter for him to float on. The paper floats, but once they put Rocco on, it sinks. Next Elmo and Zoe try aluminum foil, since it's flatter and wider than pencils but stronger than paper. The foil on its own floats, but when they put Rocco on top, it sinks too! Elmo comes up with the great idea to build a boat for Rocco. With Leela's help, they become engineers and use what they've learned to design a boat by wrapping the aluminum foil around the pencils. It works! Everyone is excited as they watch Rocco float in the water! duration 58:46   STEREO TVY (Secondary audio: DVI)

Il Volo Takes Flight In May 2009, three fresh-faced teenagers, Piero Barone, Ignazio Boschetto and Ginaluca Ginoble appeared on the popular Italian talent show, Ti Lascio Una Canzone and dazzled television viewers with their flawless rendition of the Neapolitan standard "O Sole Mio." The boys who won the competition easily decided that their group needed a name. "Il Volo" meaning "flight" was chosen to signify the feeling that these three young tenors were about to spread their wings.
The Italian teen vocal group took the audience by storm during the taping at the Detroit Opera House, singing classical and traditional Italian songs that showcased their vocal talent as well as their interpretive gifts for music. Their versions of "O Sole Mio," "Il Mondo," and "E Piu Ti Penso," a medley of Ennio Morricone songs from the soundtracks to (Once Upon a Time in America and Malena) and the Charlie Chaplin song, "Smile," brought the audience to their feet as they exploded with applause for these gifted performers. A touching moment came when the boys sang the popular Italian song, "Mamma," and Ignazio and Piero went into the audience to hug their tearful moms.
Joining the tenors is Pia Toscano, a popular favorite from American Idol - Season 10, who joins the tenors to sing and dance to "La Luna Hizo Esto." Also performing is guitarist, Milos Karadaglic who boldly introduces the song "Granada."
