Tennis: the Inner Game At the heart of it, mastering the art of tennis requires the same mental strategy that is necessary for mastering the art of golf. If you apply the techniques of playing the inner game "successfully," you'll see that mastering the art of "relaxed concentration" is necessary above all other skills - no matter what game you're playing. Relaxed concentration is the base building block from which self-confidence and the ability to win the game, grows. "The secret to success lies in not trying so hard," says Tim Gallwey, "spontaneous performance can only occur when the mind is calm and seems at one with the body."
As viewers learn in this program, getting into the right mindspace for this demands overcoming the common hang-ups of competition. Topping the list is the need to relax to the point where you can unlock all of the energy you have, and not focus on or get discouraged by losing. "You need to harness the intuitive capabilities of the mind on both the right and left hemispheres of the brain." says Gallwey. " The good news is this process doesn't have to be learned, we already know it. All is needed is to unlearn those habit which interfere with it, and then just let it happen."

Jewish People: A Story of Survival "Through thirty and more centuries, he has wandered about on earth, despised and rejected, bruised and beaten, yet all the time wandering on. He has seen far-flung empires crack and crumble, and mighty peoples dwindle to naught. But he, the Jew, still lives on..." Lewis Browne, 1926
This is their story, the story of Jewish survival. How did a band of desert nomads, against such overwhelming odds, survive four millennia and shape the course of world history?

    • KQED Plus OTA ? Optimistically planned maintenance: Fri 12/05 mid-morning

(DT54.1 thru 54.5) Assuming that the weather and road conditions permit, we plan to do a bit of maintenance on our KQEH transmitter the morning of Friday 12/05… hopefully 10am-11am-ish, but could be a bit later. • Mon 11/03/14: Work on KQED Plus tower (DT54)

Another station needs to do maintenance on its equipment on the tower on Monument Peak, requiring that we switch our DT54 Over the Air signal from the main antenna to the auxiliary when the work starts, then back to the main antenna at the conclusion.
