The America's Cup race will go forward in San Francisco, but organizers have scrapped plans to refurbish several of the city's deteriorating piers. The Stockton City Council approved a new mediation process in a last-ditch effort to avoid bankruptcy, while facing long-term bond debt, ballooning retirement benefits and declining tax revenues. Google's new privacy policy has raised concerns from the EU and consumer advocates over how it's collecting and using our personal data.
