- Watch Livestream
Veteran journalists Gwen Ifill and Judy Woodruff anchor complete live coverage of the Republican and Democratic national political conventions. Between speeches and events on the convention floor, Ifill and Woodruff interview political newsmakers and solicit analysis and perspective from NewsHour regulars Shields and Brooks, presidential historians and others. Senior Correspondents Jeffrey Brown (in Tampa) and Ray Suarez (in Charlotte) will have live dispatches from the convention floors throughout the evening broadcasts. Political Editor Christina Bellantoni offers perspective and analysis on key developments at the conventions. Presidential historians Richard Norton Smith and Michael Beschloss will provide historical context of the candidates' acceptance speeches on the final night of each convention. Andy Kohut of the Pew Research Center will drill down into the demographic shifts in the country and explore data to provide insight on what motivates each party. Correspondent Hari Sreenivasan will extend the coverage online via the NewsHour's interactive digital map center, offering a 24-hour online 'all-access pass' to the conventions.
IMPORTANT TIME CHANGE NOTE: Due to late-breaking extension of coverage hours, the start time will be 4pm and not 5pm as listed below. Due to technical circumstances beyond our control, some schedule listings take 24 hours to update.
