This adaptation of Kenneth Grahame's classic children's book follows the adventurous and wealthy Toad (Matt Lucas) as he ignores cleaning his house and begins on a path of trouble. He goes for a picnic on the riverbank, on a caravan expedition, and obsessed with automobiles, drives recklessly through the countryside. When Toad gets caught by the police, only his trusty friends Badger (Bob Hoskins), Ratty (Mark Gatiss) and Mole (Lee Ingleby) can save him from his profligate habits. The cast also features Imelda Staunton (Barge Lady) Anna Maxwell Martin (the Gaoler's daughter), and Michael Murphy (the Judge) .
