On adult education day, Mr. Bean visits his local school where he has several lessons to learn. The chaos in the craft hall is almost equaled by the confusion that results when he stumbles into an art class. After he uses a new move to down a judo instructor, Mr. Bean sets out on a trouser hunt. His joy at finding his pants is dashed when he sees his beloved car crushed by a tank. Despite everything, Mr. Bean finds that life has its compensations.

A spot of DIY results in a re-arrangement of the furniture and most ofMr. Bean's possessions. When he attempts a little redecoration, purely for cosmetic reasons, the resulting explosion makes it a year to remember.

All the fun of the fair awaits Mr. Bean until he unwittingly ends up babysitting. Undaunted, he sets out to enjoy the day, and despite having to cope with squeaky toys, improvised diapers and a flying stroller, he finds time to win at bingo and lose a goldfish. Thankfully, his young charge remains unscathed, and is reunited with his mother through Mr. Bean's amateur archery.
