First broadcast in 1990, the silent odd-ball Mr. Bean (Rowan Atkinson) has become known all over the world. Created by Atkinson, Richard Curtis and Robin Driscoll, only 14 episodes were ever made.

On adult education day, Mr. Bean visits his local school where he has several lessons to learn. The chaos in the craft hall is almost equaled by the confusion that results when he stumbles into an art class. After he uses a new move to down a judo instructor, Mr. Bean sets out on a trouser hunt. His joy at finding his pants is dashed when he sees his beloved car crushed by a tank. Despite everything, Mr. Bean finds that life has its compensations.

Mr. Bean's New Year's Eve party is failure, but New Year's Day has its consolations when he employs a cunning ruse to secure a bargain, although he is driven to extremes trying to get it home on the roof-rack. A spot of DIY results in a re-arrangement of the furniture and most ofMr. Bean's possessions. When he attempts a little redecoration, purely for cosmetic reasons, the resulting explosion makes it a year to remember.
