A smart leader motivates people to believe in themselves, not just in himself. This true meaning and value of leadership is depicted in this episode of Wishbone. The audience is introduced to Prince Hal of William Shakespeare's Henry IV who by defeating a powerful rebel army proves his ability to be a leader to his father. Joe, a modern day Prince Hal, learns that his ability to be the team captain of the basketball team depends more on his leadership skills than on his ability as a player.

David, who becomes an egotistical artist's assistant, and Pip learn the valuable lesson of never forgetting their true friends just because of short-term status gained when they are both betrayed by the wealthy, snobbish women they have been trying to impress.
