Smart Fats to Outsmart Aging with Dr Steven Masley Previous Broadcasts

KQED Plus: Sat, Jul 29, 2017 -- 8:00 AM

Dr. Steven Masley brings years of research - and success with patients - to viewers. As a physician, nutritionist and fellow with three medical organizations, he offers his audience proven, simple lifestyle changes to help them lose unwanted weight and keep it off, feel and look better than ever, control blood pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol profiles, and prevent and reverse heart disease. In a nutshell, enhancing quality of life for decades to come.
The Standard American Diet ("SAD") is stealing health and aging people faster than necessary. In this program, Dr. Masley discusses the 5 major aging accelerators, mostly attributable to the SAD: inflammation, hormone imbalance, loss in muscle mass, and common nutritional deficiencies. He lets viewers know what they can do to stop these aging accelerators in their tracks, and in some cases reverse them; and it starts with focusing on 4 main food groups. Following Dr. Masley's plan is as easy as it is simple, and he lays it out, step by step, mapping out what to eat, how much and even how to cook for maximum anti-aging benefit. It is a proven program to help transform people's lives, so they are healthier, and feel fantastic.
