A DOCTOR'S JOB (UNA CARRERITA, DOCTOR) (UCLA) - Dr. Ramon Moran is a brilliant ER physician and a hardworking cab driver. His ailing mother and her financial woes drive him to make ends meet. Set in Lima, Peru, one day Ramon picks up a fare that will radically change his day.
TELEGLOBAL DREAMIN' (Tisch Asia) - Rosa, a call center agent in the Philippines, has a crush on a hunky corporate-trainer named Dale who has come from the head office in California to teach motivational classes on customer service. After learning about Dale's career as bit role actor in LA, Rosa pursues an opportunity to be his guide around town for the day. She takes Dale to a cockfight and invites her friends along who also want to be seen with the handsome actor from America. Word about Dale spreads through town quickly, attracting more and more attention, until an unexpected turn of events brings Rosa and Dale's day out on the town to a disturbing end.

BICYCLE (JITENSHA) (Biola University) - Mamoru Amagaya, a young man struggling to find meaning in life, is humiliated by a co-worker and leaves his job. Now alone and without work, parts of Mamoru's bicycle begin to disappear, one by one. At last, when the only remaining piece of the bicycle is a lonely bell, Mamoru receives an envelope, containing addresses at which each piece of the bicycle might be retrieved.

FIREWORKS (Columbia) - Against a Fourth of July backdrop in South L.A. , Fireworks is a coming-of-age story of two adolescent boys on a quest to impress a group of girls and investigate their growing bond.
PEARL WAS HERE (Cal Arts) - A scraggly girl slips away from her overburdened mother and troubled home life to hide among a mound of stuffed animals in the safe and sealed environment of claw machine. < br>SPARK (Texas) - While a boy waits out his father's tryst, he is unexpectedly forced to deal with the lady-friend's daughter. 10-year old Ricky is left outside in the truck while his dad visits a lady-friend in rural Texas. While waiting for his father to return so that they can set off fireworks together, Ricky is suddenly confronted with the lady-friend's 11-year old daughter, Callie, who has been pushed out of the house by her mom.Callie steals Ricky's fireworks and sets one off. When the commotion fails to attract his father's attention, Ricky and Callie decide to set off all of the fireworks. Subsequently, they start a small brush fire. As the two kids try to contain the fire before their parents find out, Ricky finds the connection he's been looking for.
