Mon 5/06: very brief KQED DT9 OTA outage
(DT9.1, 9.2, 9.3) This morning we had a very brief outage of our over the air (OTA) coverage for KQED 9.1/9.2/9.3, which lasted apx 4 minutes. Mon 4/22: KQEH OTA signal back on air
(DT54.1 through DT54.5) The Over the Air (OTA) signal from our KQEH transmitter on Monument Peak was restored at apx 6:35pm this evening. Most tuners should automatically find the signal, however some OTA viewers may need to do a rescan to restore reception.

Mon 4/22: KQEH OTA planned overnight outage extended
Unexpected technical problems have been discovered at the KQEH transmitter site during planned maintenance overnight. KQED crews have identified the problem and are working to correct it as soon as possible. Please check back to this blog for status updates. Service to Comcast and other providers are uninterrupted.

David Suchet in the Footsteps of St. Paul
Actor David Suchet (Agatha Christie's Poirot) sets out on a personal journey around the Mediterranean to uncover the story of a man he has longed to play - the biblical Saint Paul. Paul did more than any other individual to transform the fledgling Jesus Movement from an obscure Jewish sect into a new global religion. But what drove a 5' 8" powerhouse of a man to embark on his extraordinary missionary journeys, traveling 10,000 miles by foot, and many more by sea to challenge the pagan world and the might of Rome?
This two-part documentary retraces Paul's footsteps in search of the real and highly controversial man hidden within the pages of the New Testament. Suchet follows Paul's journey to the west where the name of Jesus was not known. Paul wants to convert people to Jesus before the end of the world arrives. But he is doing so in areas where Caesar himself is believed to be a God, and his mission is not well received. Successes are met with failures in places like Philippi and Thessaloniki, but Paul is proud of hardships as they serve to strengthen his resolve to change the world. All roads lead to Rome, the hub of early Christianity, and it is here that Paul will pay the ultimate price.

In Antioch we encounter Paul and the fledgling church as they make the crucial decision to admit Gentiles into the Christian faith. This episode ends with Suchet's saying that Paul's next big step would be to convert the populations in Europe - which sets Paul up with a confrontation with Rome.
